What are the symptoms of diabetes?
Type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes have many similarities, but their causes are very different. And the treatments are usually very different. People with newly diagnosed type 1 diabetes, especially adults, can have symptoms similar to type 2 diabetes, and because these types overlap, they can be confusing even when eating a lot.
Tingling, pain, numbness in limbs (type 2) despite eating (type 1)
Frequent urination
Very thirsty
Feeling very hungry – despite eating
Extreme fatigue
Blurred vision
Cuts/bruises heal slowly
Weight loss – even if you eat more (Type 1 ) numbness in limbs (type 2)
